Intro Paragraph...

Ok, so think of your favorite dessert. Anything: ice cream, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, anything at all! Nothing can make it better, right? Nope, sorry. You’re wrong. How about gummy bears on your plain flavored ice cream, to add some more flavor and texture to it? Or chocolate sprinkles on your brownies for double the chocolate. You could also turn your plain chocolate chip cookie into something colorful and even more delicious than it already is! As for your cupcake… well a plain vanilla or chocolate cupcake isn't any fun with out some festive toppings. If any of that doesn’t appeal to you, think of this: the different toppings on desserts are just like the toppings on a pizza. Plain cheese pizzas are good, but add some onions, green peppers, pineapples, and/or jalapeƱos. And for you non-vegetarians, pepperonis, chicken, or other yummy toppings. Do y’all to try something different and/or exotic? Well, I’ll give you some yummy exotic dishes that include great toppings for your sweet tooth (which I know you all have). So, yup! Basically, I write…err, blog, about different desserts and their toppings! Do ya want to know more? Keep on reading, s’il vous plait!

Some More Food Blogs, Guys

Culinary blogs are pretty cool. But culinary blogs with tons of pretty pictures are better. It just adds more interest, you know? The Amateur Gourmet did have a lot of voice and it was unique (it had live video footage), but the lack of pictures made it difficult for me to read it. Too overwhelming for me. Becks & Posh, on the other hand, had big pictures of the different foods. The writing was also like a long story rather than a straightforward description of how to make the food. So, that was pretty interesting. But at the same time, it felt like it was taking the attention away from the food. The blog is for food. However, out of the blogs I explored, Bonbini was definitely my favorite. Tons of pictures. Very neat color scheme. Short and sweet captions. There are no long background stories and the ingredients and directions are right in front of your face to make for a simpler task.

One of the best Food Blogs

I read 5 different food blogs, each one having something different about them. The five I read were: Smitten Kitchen, Rambling Spoon, 101 Cookbooks, An Obsession with Food, and Simply Recipes. All of them had a different element in them; however, my favorite was Smitten Kitchen, First of all, I loved the name. It was so cute and simple! Also, the plain white background was sophisticated, yet at the same time it made the pictures stand out more. That helped the food look so much more appetizing. The pictures were nice and big, attracting attention to the different recipes. I also thought it was clever that the creator of the blog gave out  the recipes by using pictures of the ingredients in that specific dish. That was a very unique idea and I didn't see it in the other blogs. Adding, the different categories based on seasons were also creative and different from the other blogs.
