Culinary blogs are pretty cool. But culinary blogs with tons of pretty pictures are better. It just adds more interest, you know? The Amateur Gourmet did have a lot of voice and it was unique (it had live video footage), but the lack of pictures made it difficult for me to read it. Too overwhelming for me. Becks & Posh, on the other hand, had big pictures of the different foods. The writing was also like a long story rather than a straightforward description of how to make the food. So, that was pretty interesting. But at the same time, it felt like it was taking the attention away from the food. The blog is for food. However, out of the blogs I explored, Bonbini was definitely my favorite. Tons of pictures. Very neat color scheme. Short and sweet captions. There are no long background stories and the ingredients and directions are right in front of your face to make for a simpler task.
